About our Scholarships

​

The Raymond Community & Business Organization (RCBO) offers scholarships to graduating high school seniors who plan to enroll in an accredited technical school, trade school or college.

​

Introduced in 2022, we offering six scholarships! Three $500.00 General Scholarships, One $500.00 Jana Lee Kopac Fine Arts Scholarship, and One $500.00 Howard Scott Technical / Trade Scholarship, and in honor of long time RCBO member, Charlie Lecus, we are offering a sixth in his name.

RCBO club was lucky to have him.

Am I Eligible?

​

You're eligible if you... (all must apply)

​

Are a High school senior residing in either the Union Grove or Waterford high school district.

​

Have a pending or accepted application into an accredited technical school, trade school, or college for attendance the year following high school graduation.
 

Have been involved in community, church, and/or high school extracurricular activities.
Hint: we're a nonprofit that values community and church volunteerism and would likewise give particular attention to candidates who embody the same.

 

Showcase leadership qualities.

How do I apply?
 

  1. Complete all three pages of the application, found below. Attach additional pages if needed.

  2. Write a brief essay on: “Why I am applying for this scholarship, my reasons for going to college, my financial needs, and my future plans.”

  3. Attach a picture to the application, suitable for possible publication (in the event you are chosen for this scholarship).

  4. Attach a transcript of your high school credits.

  5. Submit two (2) reference letters stating qualifications for this scholarship from non-relatives. One reference must be from your school, i.e. teacher or counselor.

  6. Submit application, essay, references, and attachments via U.S. Postal Service to

Important! Incomplete applications will not be qualified.

Winners will first be announced at the Awards Day/Night at each high school.
